of dough and nuts….
No, this isn’t one of those insightful post that culinary experts share their recipe about mixing the right amount of flour and cashew fruit seed to create the perfect bread, hail from the countryside of ol’ erm…Yorkshire? This is one where i had too much time on hand between team-building programmes and went nutters eating donuts(aka fried dough), one after another.
I’m on reservist for 3 days. Today being the first gave me two and a half hours to roam around during lunchbreak. Situated well in the centre of town, i left the headquarters and popped by Suntec City to snoop around for things to eat…alone - part of me really miss down time with myself so i had no qualms about it.
As luck would have it, I chanced upon the infamous second DF store and was visibly surprised to see the dine-in queue made up of merely 5 people. In less than ten minutes, i was seated with 2 sinfully chocolate-glazed donuts and a hot cup of cappuccino. Pure bliss. Yum yum yum.
Contented, i then proceeded to shop. Found the exact pair of swimming shorts i saw at Zara, Vivocity at Marina Square for ten dollars less! How odd. Aren’t prices standardised on this lil’ island? Apparently this was not the case - being at Vivocity in the evening. The price there still stood at 39.90 after less. What nerves! Don’t ever go to that outlet! I have no good things to say about their service, messy display and now above all, the pricing! *Phui!*
Oh yes, i bought a dozen of donuts before i left the humongous mall. Why? I don’t know. It’s donuts. You don’t rationalize donuts. Perhaps what i had earlier teased me for more. I downed 4 more when i got back. Yum yum yum. I’m now wait for breakfast tomorrow. heh…

杀手
This has got to be the most daring attempt by any chinese artiste. The music video was banned in China and heavily censored everywhere else for its gory content. I just never thought someone like J*J Lin was capable of breaking out of his goodie-two-shoe image to be game for something like this. My verdict - it’s quite awesome. I began to dig the song after viewing the macabre-styled MTV which began all nice and simple. It soon gets kinda sick and warped, but it went so well with the theme that it’s hard to fault. Be your own judge and see if its up your alley… a dark, sinister one.
