one design, many phones
I’ve never been more proud of my phone.
Other than the fact that I bought it at a fantastic deal, this stunner had me enthrall in its sleek fetching design for the past months. It’s amazing how versatile it goes with anything and still looks so definitively cool. The fact that I’m raving about it shows the extend I’m in love with it, but don’t get me wrong, it ain’t the best gadget in the world. I will berate its capability in a heartbeat. Lousy camera, bad message input software, not very sensible navigation…etc. My phone is pure aesthetics, a looker with no substance.

Recently, M has released a pink and blue version to my disparagement. These options seemed like novelty approaches not to enhance the phone’s outlook but rather to offer an alternative to a very select few, namely raving lunatics and fashion wannabes. Haha. Somehow its previous silver and black finishes best captures the minimalist styling and up-market appeal of this Best Mobile Phone Design 2005 winner.
In light of their disappointing offering, M has decided to released yet another permutation of this slim model come Feb.

Boasting a 1.23 megapixel digital camera and iTunes music software you’ll basically have the complete mobile multimedia package. But the main draw for me is definitely expandability - it comes with a 512 miniSD card for all your music storage. This time round they even tried combining the silver exterior and black interior to make this phone the ultimate item of desire (i hear there’s a limited edition gold edition released in collaboration with Dolce and Gabanna).
I’ll still be content with my little black beauty then after all I love it for the way it looks, the lack of features hardly bothers me. Unless they come out with a white version, perhaps then my heart will be set aflutter…
