star bores.
” Look stupid, do i? Hm? “I’ve finally watched and completed the entire Star Wars Saga. It took me all of 2 weeks to watch the first three installments (Epi 4-6) followed by Episode one and the next 2 “concluding” prequel (recently purchased DVDs from JB). Ok, so I’ve never been caught up in the STAR WARS frenzy, and knew little of its appeal to the masses. I’m watching this whole saga so I can keep up to scene, and not suffer the berating of my friends due to their astonishment. Sadly, even after all that time devoted to that 6 pieces of DVD, I’m still clueless to its phenomenon. For one, I’m still think Yoda is silly. He’s like a senile alien who can’t seem to put his words across properly, his “philosophies” are like Pamela Anderson’s boobs; too trying and ridiculously obvious, I couldn’t help but snigger whenever he spoke. Where’s the dignity of a grand master I ask? No doubt Mr Lucas gave the poor green blob some edge in the prequel, adding in fight scenes and credible plots where he chaired the Jedi council, but still I think after Shrek, greenish talking things just cannot be taken seriously anymore.
I’m not particularly drawn to the heavily CGI-ed battle scenes nor the flickering romance between Darth and Padme. Or the irksome C3PO and his gay companion R2D2 (no prize for guessing who’s top or bottom). All in all, this saga just doesn’t appeal to me. Maybe if I’ve caught it when it all began, an interest would have nurtured. The action and romance are just too dated. And so Seen it, I have. Like it, I do not.
