At long last, i met the gal of my dreams. Avril rocks. Permanent. I cannot recall the last time i attend such a adrenaline pumped rock concert. Despite my desperate attempt to get into the mosh pit, i was left amidst a misplaced crowd of well mannered, motionless Singaporeans. I always felt embarrassed for my locals when it comes to events like these; i vaguely remember witnessing stone-still people with their butts glued to the grass fields of Fort Canning Hill when Fat Boy Slim was spinning!! I’m like? WTF? Why aren’t you at home with your loved ones? Did someone die? Are you really so fucking oppressed you must mourn amidst a dance party? Please show yourself out. Unreal!

I was happily jumping and swaying to the music when the atmosphere eventually got to these people, the rest as they say, is brilliant rock concert history! I love Avril. Love Love love… (i can’t say this enuff. Haha.) My friend likens her to Alanis Morisette, i cannot agree more. The Canadian angst-ridden rock chick of this new generation, and so much prettier! ;p

As the night progressed, we were head-banging, arms nodding and going completely hysterical. I was hoarse from screaming but completely unaware of the pain afterwards… The only downside of the entire set was that it only lasted a pathetic hour. Leaving us a tad high and dry, but it was good while it lasted. I’m a fan more than ever.
