my movie afterglow.

Jamie foxx is everywhere. He made a big impression at the globes, then stole the thunder from many grammy nominated artistes at the recent award show. But as of now, he has a place in my heart. One of the most talented but under-rated comedian has shone through a mist of criticism and emerged as the legendary Ray Charles. How on earth did he manage to look so convincing, shedding every inch of his bad boy image?
I watch in awe as he struts his impersonation skills with precision timing, and handles his character’s every emotion with just that bit of “rhythm & blues” cool. The movie retraces the life of Ray Charles Robinson back to his traumatic childhood and digs further into his drug addiction after he achieved musical success. It ain’t so much of a thinking movie, it’s more of what I call, a watch-and-learn show. Very strong message they are trying to send out (think along the line of those wickedly humourous pictures they have on cigarette boxes these days.;p), for you will be entertained to a full minute account of his rehabilitation struggle accompanied with stylish flashbacks. Haiz Why is it that talented people are always so fucking depressive? Are they paying for it? If this is true, damn! I must be damn untalented. ;p
I will make a prediction. Later this month at the oscars, Jamie will win. He will win because his strongest competitor is that overrated, lousy excuse of an actor fondly addressed as Leo. Not that I’m making groundless accusation. I’ve watched The Aviator. It bored me to tears. Thank god for Cate Blanchett who kept me in my seats. Oh yea, she will win best supporting actress, because she is fantastic. Haha . Hey! This is my blog. I say what I want and what I say shall and will be the truth!!! Haha.
